‘Ant-Man’ Anthony Edwards (21) is being investigated by the police.
Edwards was recalled for allegedly swinging a chair in frustration following a loss at the Denver Nuggets’ home stadium Ball Arena on the 26th (Korean time).
According to Denver, Colorado police, Edwards was charged with third-degree assault for causing bodily harm to two people “willfully or recklessly”.
Edwards threw a folding chair while walking off his court and into the locker room after a failed winning shot. At this time, it was confirmed that two female staff working at the stadium were hit, and fortunately, it is known that neither staff was seriously injured.
As a result, Edwards is summoned for questioning to appear in court on June 10th. Here he faces up to 18 months in prison and a $10 million fine if convicted.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota club said in a statement that day, “We are in the process of gathering more information about Anthony Edwards after the 5th game in Denver.”
“There is nothing more to comment at this time,” he said cautiously.
