Song Min-kyu scored the winning goal as Jeonbuk Hyundai defeated Daegu to record their first back-to-back wins in the K League 1.
Jeonbuk Hyundai won 1-0 against Daegu FC on Sunday at Jeonju World Cup Stadium in the 17th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023.
With the win, Jeonbuk tied Daegu with 24 points from seven wins, three draws and seven losses, but moved up the standings on goal difference.
Jeonbuk went into the match with a 4-3-3 tactic. Song Min-gyu, Gustavo, and Hapa Silva formed the three-top attacking line, while Oh Jae-hyuk, Park Jin-seop, and Ryu Jae-moon were deployed in the midfield. In the back four, Kim Jin-soo, Jeong Tae-wook, Gu Ja-ryong, and Jeong Woo-jae played, and Kim Jung-hoon was in goal.
Daegu faced Jeonbuk with a 3-4-3 tactic. Edgar, Sejingya, and Jae-hyun formed a three-top attacking line, with Hong Chul and Hwang Jae-won on the flanks. Keita and Lee Yong-rae were deployed in the midfield, and the three-back defense consisted of Cho Jin-woo, Hong Jung-woon, and Kim Jin-hyuk. Choi Young-eun was in goal.
Jeonbuk and Daegu tried to play aggressively in the opponent’s zone from the start of the game. Both teams were busy trying to create chances to create effective shots.

Jeonbuk introduced Moon Sun-min in place of Hapa Silva in the 22nd minute of the second half. Daegu also removed Keita and sent Park Se-jin to the field.
