Trevor Bauer (32, Yokohama DeNA Baystars), who was virtually expelled from the Major League (MLB) for sexual assault, became the winning pitcher in his debut game in Nippon Professional Baseball.
Bower started on the 3rd at the Yokohama Stadium in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, in the home game against the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in the 2023 Japanese Professional Baseball, and had 7 hits (1 home run), 9 strikeouts, 1 walk and 1 run in 7 innings.
Bower showed an impressive appearance with a fastball that reached a maximum speed of 155 km. In his debut match, he reported his first win 크크크벳.
Yokohama won 4-1.
Japanese media reported that it was pitching worthy of a 2020 Cy Young Award winner. USA Today said, “Bauer won his debut game in Japanese professional baseball and was warmly welcomed by the fans.”
Bauer, who was interviewed for the hero, said, “I felt really good today. My body was in good condition, and everything was good, including the ball I was throwing, control, and pitch.”
In 2021, a woman claimed Bower had beaten and sexually abused her.
In response, the MLB Secretariat issued a disciplinary suspension to Bower after its own investigation. The Los Angeles Dodgers released Bower immediately.
Driven to the brink, Bower decided to continue his active career in Japan and signed a contract with Yokohama for 400 million yen a year.
